We drank lots of coffee this morning and walked to the Skógar Folk Museum just down the road from the campground. The museum and its turf-roof houses were welcome shelter from another day of rain. We took our time wandering through the time capsule and enjoying the extensive collections of tools and handcrafts before ducking into the farm buildings, church , and school.
We also made a loop through the transportation museum before heading back to camp to pack up and catch an evening bus to Vík, continuing along the south coast.
After spotting our first puffins on the cliffs, we set up our tent for a quiet night on the black sand beach in Vík.
