Ah, summertime. We relaxed on the shore, had ice cream under umbrellas, picnicked in the shade of a big tree, floated in the water at Lac Bourget. Besides spending a perfect summer day with friends, we finally rented paddle boats- something I've been looking forward to the past three summers. We paddled out to deep water, surrounded by lush green peaks, and took turns jumping from the sides, and sliding down the paddle boat's slide. Today we had one of those long summer days, up with the sun and still out after dark, tired and content, and just a few red spots.
