Now that we are done tour chasing, it's time for an afternoon/evening hike...after a patio treat, chartreuse in the Chartreuse Mountains for me and a Mont Blanc for Derek. We stayed near Mont Granier, and started our hike from La Plagne to Sommet du Pinet (1867m). The early switchbacks of the trail were a bit tiring, but generally the trail was an easier and quick ascent with high pastures and good footing. By the time we reached the summit, dark clouds and wind were waiting for us, and the temperature had dropped quite a bit, so we sat for just a moment before jogging our way back down to the car, the drizzly drive, and a midnight pizza dinner at home. That was a full day!
