We're back in France. We landed Thursday evening, picked up the cat and dinner from a friend...is there really anything better than someone making you food after a long day of traveling? I was especially thankful when we got back to our apartment, knowing there wasn't food and remembering that I was out of gas for the stove. Maura's dinners were a life saver. We were feeling refreshed after dinner, but a little too refreshed so we got unpacked and stayed up most of the night...and the jet lag battle begins. We did have Friday for some recovery time before Saturday...our first chance to hit the slopes.
We started our third season with the CERN ski club with the first outing to Avoriaz. Visibility wasn't great and we were pretty soaked by the end of the day, but any chance to be up in the mountains is fine with me. We had a great day and are excited for the rest of the season with our new ski groups. Derek's group works on avalanche rescue (below). Bon ski!
