This afternoon, we'll be headed back to the airport to start the long trip back to France. It's hard to believe how quickly the time has gone. We are so happy to have seen lots of good friends and spent time with family. It's never enough and there are so many more people we missed...but next time I suppose. This morning was also the first time I got out to see the progress of the prairie restoration.
Lots of prairie dock, compass plant, and thick big blue stem- well the dried stalks and leaves of the past plants, but everything looks like it is filling in nicely.
Derek checked each of the bluebird boxes...hoping they will return again this March.
A very big thank you and lots of hugs to everyone who made our holiday trip to Illinois so special. We had a great time and will miss you all. You'll be hearing from me back in France. So long for now.
