When we left France a little more than two weeks ago, there were still plenty of autumn reds and oranges, but we've come back to a new season. First things first, we pulled on our snowshoes and enjoyed the fresh new snow. A long winter's walk should help us sleep well and get through the jet-lag.

Luckily I brought along my headlamp for the walk home - an early Christmas present from my sister-in-law and her husband.
