remember when

learning the ropes

Can you believe it's November already? (Me neither). It's been a picture perfect weekend here, unseasonably warm and sunny. Today we went over the Jura to climb near Mijoux. The drive over the pass was gorgeous and colorful, bright yellow leaves against a cloudless blue sky. It was the first time for both Derek and I, so we were really appreciative to get climbing tips from some experienced friends. We learned to tie the knots and Derek took turns belaying. We made six different routes and were the first to arrive and the last to leave the wall.
